Blue Makaira

Flying the Red Ensign ‘Blue Makaira’ is a 34ft sport fishing boat manufactured by Rodman and powered by two 260hp Volvo engines.

The Rodman 10.40 is a very seaworthy boat, with a hull construction that is second to none. To our added advantage the hull produces a great sound signature that pulls fish up and the crew maintain this advantage with regular hull and prop cleaning.

‘Blue Makaira’ is equipped with the latest generation Navonics systems from Raymarine and is importantly equipped with the latest, and best, fish finder, a 2Kw Chirp Sounder.

She was built in 2006, and has been converted to allow for the greatest comfort for our customers, in the cool main cabin there is very comfortable seating with great views of the rear deck and the lures being trolled.

For your further comfort, there is a WC, wash facilities and a fridge that is always well stocked with soft drinks, water, beer and snacks for the day.

On board there are two fixed video cameras and a number of GoPro’s recording the action on the rear deck, stern view and underwater. Catches that are recorded will be put on a USB thumb drive and presented to you as a memento.
